Second; One side of the aspen logs are trimmed. The backs of the benches, and chairs are trimmed, also foot and head boards of the log beds
It gives the rustic furniture a wonderful view of the grains and patterns they create. And it makes the backs very comfortable to lean on.
All furniture has 3 coats of Danish oil and polyurethane.
